Taking the final two games off the Philadelphia Phillies didn't portend success against the Brewers. The Reds lost their 13th consecutive series to Milwaukee, but they did split the homestand (3-3) against two of the National League's current division leaders.

In the bottom of the 10th, the Reds were able to bunt the runner to third base before the Brewers decided to walk both Elly De La Cruz and Will Benson to load the bases. Austin Hays delivered the walk-off single down the third-base line.
