Police say officers responded to reports of a large crowd gathering including a mix of adults and juveniles around 1:30 a.m. at North 22nd and Edgley Streets. Shortly after arriving, police called for additional units to help disperse the crowd. Then, gunshots rang out, and three people were shot.

OAKLAND — A 37-year-old man was fatally shot outside his North Oakland home Saturday morning, authorities said. Police have not yet released the man’s name. According to authorities, the shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. Saturday on a sidewalk in the 800 block of 41st Street, a residential area between Market and Lusk streets.
