Elon Musk said in a post on X early Thursday morning that Grok – the chatbot from his AI company, xAI – will be coming to Tesla vehicles “very soon.” “Next week at the latest,” he said.
“Grok is coming to Tesla vehicles very soon. Next week at the latest,” Elon Musk stated Thursday in a post on X. The EV brand would catch up with the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, which have already integrated ChatGPT into their vehicles as voice assistants.
CEO Elon Musk has had a busy year, to say the least.In the space of six months, he's aligned himself with President Donald Trump, gone to work for the U.S. government, and headed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) — a Herculean set of tasks that would crush the average human.
Elon Musk said his AI chatbot Grok is coming to Tesla vehicles by next week, just days after the bot unleashed an antisemitic rant on his social media platform X. The announcement also came after Musk unveiled the latest iteration of the chatbot called Grok 4.
One analyst called on Tesla's board of directors to act and set "ground rules" for Musk's political involvements.
Mr. Musk’s involvement in politics and his financial support for the president’s campaign were once seen by investors as a benefit to Tesla, fueling a steep rise in company shares after the election last year. That association has now turned into a liability. Tesla shares are down 40 percent from their peak in December.

Though Trump and Musk are on the outs, workers with longstanding ties to the Tesla billionaire remain embedded in the government.
