Monday night’s induction is long overdue for Darwitz, who will go into the Hall of Fame with her long-time teammate Wendell-Pohl.

It’s the first Hall of Fame class to include two women’s players since 2010 and the first ever to include two American women. Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Poh were teammates at the University of Minnesota and on the U.

Long time USA teammates Natalie Darwitz and Krissy Wendell-Pohl will officially joint the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight.

Darwitz will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame along with good friend and fellow USA and Minnesota teammate Krissy Wendell-Pohl, former NHL players Pavel Datsyuk, Shea Weber and Jeremy Roenick along with executives David Poile and Colin Campbell.

This weekend she will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame alongside hockey greats like herself in Shea Weber, Jeremy Roenick and Pavel Datsyuk, fellow Minnesotan and hockey trailblazer like herself in Krissy Wendell as well as builders and hockey icons like Colin Campbell and David Poile.

Pittsburgh Penguins amateur scout Krissy Wendell-Pohl was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday. She received the honor in recognition of her career as a forward at the collegiate level and international stage.
