CLEVELAND – Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres is ready to play after a basepath collision with Brayan Rocchio during the Tigers’ 1-0 win over Cleveland Saturday, July 5, at Progressive Field.

On Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians, Torres slid into second base and took a blow to the head from shortstop Brayan Rocchio’s elbow, forcing him to exit the game.

Detroit All-Star second baseman Gleyber Torres left Saturday’s game against Cleveland in the middle of the first inning after he took an elbow to the head while sliding into second base.
