The directors of "Billy Joel: And So It Goes" recently opened up about the making of the new HBO documentary and provided an update on the legendary singer’s health.

The two-part film premieres on HBO Max on July 18, and gives fans a glimpse into the musician's "love, loss, and struggles that fuel his songwriting"

The two-part documentary will air at 8 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. HBO Max plans start at $9.99 a month. Those without cable can watch the show for free through DIRECTV which offers a free trial to new users or Sling which has promotional offers available.
